Position Description:
The Equity Sales Group (ESG) reporting role provides standard and ad hoc client revenue reporting and analysis for the ESG division and the Middle Market Group, supporting clients on the Institutional platform as well as clients on the GWM core retail platform. The scope includes all products, business lines for clients globally. The main client base is the ESG Research Sales and Sales Trading teams, Senior ESG Management, ESG Client Relationship Management and ESG Marketing. Responsibilities also include reconciliations between internal systems (Capri and Prism) and the General Ledger.
General tasks involve sales revenue reporting & analysis, revenue booking and revenue data control functions. Role involves producing standard and ad hoc revenue reports and analyses by Client, Coverage team, Business Line or Product, and Client Business Line or Coverage Location. In addition, processes include daily revenue bookings via journals, researching and responding to revenue queries from internal client base as noted above, Registered Representative (RR) coverage data maintenance, and client account maintenance. Processes also include working with Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Controllers/Reporting to transfer and process hard dollars for research payments, and swaps. Additional functions include reporting and reconciling trading error accounts as well as reconciling monthly revenue booked vs reported. Reconciliation includes posting G/L accruals to the general ledger. Processes may involve some project work related to renovating and enhancing internal systems (tasks may involve documenting procedures, requirements, test cases and perhaps some testing work).*LI-MB1
Skills Required:
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
• Detail oriented, analytical, and strong problem solving skills
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
• Strong sense of teamwork with the ability to multi-task
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access)
• Experience in Sales Reporting and General Accounting is a plus
Skills Desired:
Knowledge of Capri and Capo systems.
