Responsibilities
The Sr. Mergers & Acquisitions Manager reports to the Director of Corporate Strategy and has responsibility for all aspects of M&A activity in the company. Specifically, this position is responsible for researching and developing opportunities for consideration as well as evaluating potential transactions. This analysis will include quarterly updates of potential acquisition targets. Moreover, this position will track all M&A activity and deal speculation in the banking industry as well as develop appropriate pricing trends for executive management. Provide quarterly updates of the impact of M&A activity on quarterly financial reporting. Finally, this position will have an integral role in all transaction activity, including managing diligence and assisting in development of legal agreements.
Function/Deliverables:
- Research & develop opportunities for consideration
- Evaluate potential transaction opportunities
- Quarterly updates regarding potential acquisition targets
- Track and report on all transactions and deal speculation
- Assessment of M&A activity on quarterly financial reporting for peer banks
- Ad-hoc M&A projects
- Assist with competitive analysis and development of strategic documents
Qualifications
- Master's Degree required
- M&A experience required, including evaluating opportunities, development of Offering Memorandums, transaction pricing, due diligence activity
- Strong financial and accounting background
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to relate and work with various levels throughout the organization
- Project management and supervisor experience preferred
- 7-10 years of Mergers & Acquisitions experience
