A leading post-trade STP firm is currently seeking a Director of Relationship Management to join their team.


The Director of Relationship Management will build and manage a team of Relationship Managers to:
  • Build strong relationships with high profile (Tier 1 and Tier 2) Investment Managers, Brokers, Banks and IMO’s  in the financial services industry,
  • Provide strategy, guidance, and expertise to these clients,
  • Create and execute account plans that will maintain and grow revenue,
  • Coordinate creation and execution of account plans with Director of Sales and Director of Integration
  • Work closely with the Executive Director of Relationship Management to coordinate global accounts
  • Drive revenue growth and strategic programs for tier 1 & 2 clients
  • Manage a team of Relationship Managers and Account Managers to achieve revenue growth targets as well as other goals and objectives
  • Overall responsibility for regional Relationship Management structure and capabilities with global alignment
  • Instill a proactive revenue generating program executing culture within team
  • Embrace and execute Single Point of Contact (SPC) initiative
  • Co-ordinate with Marketing to roll out positioning
  • Ensure that team coordinates closely with Sales and Integration
  • Lead and participate in appropriate cross functional teams
  • Lead the design and creation of account strategies and account plans for tier 1 & 2 clients
  • Attend and speak at client events
  • Give direction and assist in the development of statements of service for their clients (SLA’s)
  • Provide guidance on industry related initiatives affecting tier 1 & 2 clients
  • Liase at a high level with top tier clients to guard and grow client base
  • Ensure high level of client satisfaction is achieved for tier 1 & 2 clients through proactive strategic and tactical account support
  • Capture clients needs and requests and share appropriately internally
  • Mentors and coaches Relationship Managers to become proficient in every aspect of solution proposal, project planning and problem resolution
  • Ensure MIS/IT systems are in place to support client activities
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree strongly preferred
  • 8 – 10 years of financial industry experience
  • Experienced manager of a successful Account Management Team
  • Proven ability to provide appropriate coaching, feedback and resources to develop team to fullest potential
  • Established track record for delivery in a sales and account management role (3-5 years)
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of financial markets, with a special focus on back office (or post-trade) operations in financial institutions
  • Knowledge of STP and industry issues such as FIX and SWIFT
  • Excellent understanding of solution selling and sales process
  • Prior experience of successfully managing in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills
  • Motivational skills
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships at a very senior level with tier 1 & 2 clients
  • Willingness/ability to travel to top tier accounts 50% of time
